Purple Sweet Potato Blooms

Purple Sweet Potato Blooms

I garden. I desire a farm.
These blooms are a sign of life.
Flowers sending a message that the purple & white sweet potato slips, planted in spring, are ready.
What I desire & what I have,
these things will always exist with a chasm betwixt.
That's the way of the world.
The way of creation.
We pray, manifest things we desire, & utilize the things that have come to fruition. This is where that chasm lies, between the blessings received & the belief in continued abundance.
I found myself distraught after babying hundreds of sprouts; watching them grow. There aren't words for how inspiring those plants became. Marveling in  nature's response to nurturing. The mastermind ingenuity of "programming" a seed with every bit of DNA a fully developed fruit requires. Fascinating
Alas, the heat this year shifted gardening zones for many, tho still 9b for me. Though, with a wonderful sunflower harvest, a perfect peanut yield to sow again, & these sweets creating their own tuber world below,
I didn't lose hope, but I lost a lot of plants.
Hint: Grow native! Longevity spinach has been such a performer in this heat!

I don't feel failure. There's really no economic loss when everything you did educated & I'm excited to get these hands in that dirt soon.
I've known farm life.
Not a garden ... a homestead.
Completely capable of self sustainability. From the fully stocked pond to alternate energy uses, I understand the importance of communion with Mother Earth. The dance of surviving but more amazing, the BEAUTY of thriving.
I grew up with Victory Gardens that never surrendered & Food Forests before it was a term. Finding a new way to self sustain is a natural thing.
While I intend on sharing my garden & it's beauty, it's a sidenote.
I intend on helping others realize our self sustainable actions are paramount to survival., but also key to happiness and joy that's found independent of any construct.
I intend on revealing more of my understanding of this universe.
For now I want to share the wisdom from which
Not My Garden, Not My Weeds was birthed.
